Catnip cat toys are wonderful for any cat. What kind of catnip cat toy should you buy for your pet? A catnip mouse is always a good choice. Cats love to hunt and chase down prey, and catnip mice are the perfect way to combine hunting with the joy of All Things Catnip.
Catnip Mice
Small hard plastic catnip mice are great for batting around hard floors as they go flying better so your cat can chase the catnip mouse across the floor. These are pretty cheap and you can usually get a package of several of these small catnip mice for just a few dollars. There are also larger more realistic catnip mice, and this are good for the more aggressive physical wrestling around that your cat would like to do. Many of these larger catnip mice will have bells attached or sewn inside the catnip cat toy so that your cat will have the catnip scent and that wonderful jingling in the middle of the night you’ve grown to love.
Other Catnip Cat Toys
What other catnip cat toys are there? Aside from catnip mice we have a variety of other catnip infused items. As a matter of fact, many catnip cat toys have an internal pouch that you can use to refill with catnip. This is an especially good item if you buy bulk catnip, so you never run out. Some catnip cat toys are merely bags with these pouches in them. You might find a catnip cat toy that looks like a simple bag, or even more fancy items like food that cats might eat. Remember though, that a refillable catnip cat toy will have a longer life span, since catnip needs to be fresh to be effective, so will prove to be a better value as a catnip cat toy.
Another catnip cat toy idea is catnip infused balls for your cat to chase around. These catnip cat toys will work best on a hard floor surface, as they will keep rolling more and your cat will go to more effort to pounce on these catnip cat toys just the right way.
Other catnip cat toys can be setup to hang over doors or be attached to a wall, so when the cat attacks them, they spring up and down, so your cat will be sure to think that these catnip cat toys are more alive, and thus more deserving of attack!

Remember that due to sanitary concerns, you typically can not return catnip cat toys as they may have been slobbered or chewed on. They put catnip in catnip cat toys for a reason, you know! As we’ve seen, there are a wide variety of catnip cat toys available and there is no need to restrict your cats to catnip mice, even though a catnip mouse is always good!
